There are a lot of classic Decter mannequins from the 1960’s, and here’s a legendary one that hasn’t been available since the 1970’s. Just like the lip-licker and the winker and the “singer”, the “laughing girl” hasn’t been seen for a very long time. Available again from the company that started making her right around 1965, you may choose either a full body or 3/4 mannequin, as shown, for the same price. We show her here with vintage make-up and hair-but let me tell you, she looks terrific in today’s clothes and hair as well. Just let us know whether you’d prefer the vintage make-up shown with turquoise blue eye shadow! Or a more subtle, modern look. Your choice-either the full mannequin with feet, or the classic 3/4 style, which was often used on top of rounder racks. Either style is the same price. Decter has been making mannequins for decades-and our process hasn’t changed very much. Like all Vaudeville/Decter mannequins, it’s of the highest quality. Made of heavy fiberglass and resin, literally by hand. The casting of each piece, the hand sanding, the primer, more hand sanding, the two topcoats plus another overcoat-all done by hand. The beautiful paintwork on each face in a combination of airbrushing, acrylics, and oils, all done by hand. You can see individual “hairs” in each eyebrow. As a matter of fact, every single thing that Vaudeville makes is made right here in the USA-we’re very proud of that. The only exception is our mannequin wigs. The wigs themselves are made outside of the country, but all styling is done here. The mannequin comes with a glass base and ankle rod stand. Wig shown is not included.
