Decoeyes MAE Mannequin Blond Stunning Blue Eyes 1930’s Bust Very Rare. Famous 1930’s Decoeyes Collectible mannequin head. Precise replica of a 1930’s department store display bust that was molded directly from a vintage model by the famous Artist Jerry and his helper wife Susie. This style precedes the Glamour Girls of the forties and is a great example of the Art Deco Era. This was one of the finest deco mannequin heads and has a very dramatic period look with great detail. This model is 16-1/4 inch in height and has a forehead circumference of 21 1/2 Apparel is not part of the sale, only for display. The molds, casting and all paint was detail was done in the artist’s workshop. The husband and wife team were the only ones involved in the direct production and all the work from the original model to the completed mannequin is done in their shop. Their son was also involved. Unfortunately Jerry has passed away. So there won’t be anymore made. Now they will become more scarce. The primary objective of Decoeyes was to duplicate a historically correct hat and jewelry shop display mannequin true to the golden era of mannequin production in the 1920’s through 1950’s. If you are old enough you would have seen these mannequins in high-end stores displaying hats. The artist worked hard to create a model that closely resembles a new mint in the box original display from this era. The “old school” techniques were utilized and no compromises were accepted sorely for the purpose of reducing material costs or saving time of labor. This model was casted in the best USA manufactured resins available. Each is wax-cast, hand-finished and hand painted in their shop. They made changes over the years to improve their product. The incredible original vintage models were originally produced for the purpose of store displays and were never intended for public consumption. The originals showed the marks of handwork and theirs imparted the same hand-made flaws, each mannequin lie this MAE was totally hand-made and exhibits “old school” techniques.
