This Greneker Wolf and Vine mannequin from the 1980’s has a great pose, a terrific stance. The face and finish are original. The support rod is not original, but works perfectly. The head does not have a code on it-does anyone know what face this is, please? The right arm and hand are in a holding position, and this mannequin would work great with a shoulder strap purse, or maybe a jacket thrown over the shoulder “clutched” in the hand, or a fur stole or coat held the same way. The eyes are glass, I believe, and move fairly freely. There is damage that has previously been filled on the shoulder and on the head-It’s hard to see, but the cracks shown have been filled and somewhat sanded. There are some cracks on the head that still need to be filled. Obviously, a wig covers all of these. There are scrapes and marks on this mannequin, but structurally, it’s in pretty good shape. Everything seems to fit pretty tightly. It’s a really good candidate to be refinished, I think. This mannequin most probably came from the Gantos chain of women’s stores, since they used to use exactly these poses extensively here in Michigan. Wig shown is not included. This is the same quality as Decter, Adel Rootstein, Patina V, DG Williams, and other good companies of the era.
