This is a rarity. I believe this is a Sears mannequin from the mid-late 1980’s, but it certainly could be from a number of other chains that used these iconic Greneker mannequins at that time. It is from the Nonchalance collection, with a model number of NN1, but it features an unidentified (really pretty) head with the code of KR. (Note: Thanks to the help of everyone, I’ve found out that this is the “Kristina” head). It’s in surprisingly good shape for it’s age-but it’s certainly not perfect. The paint used in the 1980’s was oil-based, and it resisted chips and marks a lot better than today’s water-based paints, so this one has held up well overall. There are various marks on the mannequin, but none of them are bad, and most will probably come off with care. There are a few chips. The top of the right leg is badly cracked. There is also a crack/small hole at the bottom of the buttocks, where the mannequin rests. I hadn’t even noticed it, but if you’re fixing the right leg, you’ll fix this too.. It has “glass eyes” that are actually acrylic. They’re adjustable from inside of the open-backed head. The eyes themselves are in perfect shape, as is the face. Reclining mannequins are fairly rare, only because they are more difficult to dress. Along with Patina V, Decter, and Rootstein, Greneker was the cream of the 1980’s mannequins (and is still one of the few quality manufacturers left today in America). Wig is not included but is available. The item “Vintage Greneker Wolf Vine 1980’s Mannequin Nonchalance collection-glass eyes” is in sale since Thursday, April 05, 2018.
